Aquamarine and Amethyst

Hi I just recently bought an Aquamarine stone (my birth stone) and an Amethyst stone (my fiances birth stone). I also bought a holder for them so I am able to wear them wherever I go.

I am wanting to mix them together and was wondering if it is a good energy combination or if its not. Are they better by themselves or would they work together? Thanks
