Where Is It From? Hemimorphite Meaning

This stone has been found in a large number of locations, including Italy, Greece, England, Algeria, Zambia, Namibia, Mexico and the United States.

It is an ore of zinc and often occurs in a botryoidal form on a matrix rock. It may also be found as a coating on rocks and as stalactitic types.

The meaning of the name Hemimorphite, relates to its crystals morphology, and is related to its shape, form or structure being symmetrical.

Blue Hemimorphite is often found along with other similar colored stones, such as Blue Smithsonite and Malachite.

Its color is usually a clear turquoise blue, in shades from quite pale to a medium turquoise blue.

The blue colored Hemimorphite stone is the most common, and has some powerful metaphysical properties that make it very popular.

You may also find Brown or White Hemimorphite, and the metaphysical qualities of both of these colors vary slightly from the blue stone.
