Where Is It From? Clinohumite Meaning

This stone belongs to the Humite group of minerals and the name of this stone relates to it being named after Sir Abraham Hume who was an English mineralogist.

This mineral is a a neosilicate with a large number of minerals included, and these will of course cause the stone to come in a range of colors.

While it comes in a number of colors, the orangey yellow stones are the most well known as they are made into attractive gemstones.

Its color may yellow, orange, orangey yellow, honey yellow, light brown or reddish brown, with many of the orange hued stones resembling Hessonite Garnet.

Many pieces of this stone are quite small, and while the gemstones are quite lovely transparent crystals non-gemstone pieces may have a dull vitreous lustre.

Its crystal habit is commonly granular or prismatic with octahedral or tetrahedral shape.

It was first found in 1876 on Mt Vesuvius in Italy but it was later found in a number of locations.

The most well known location where gem quality stones are found is in Tajikstan and Siberia in Russia, so it is known as a quite rare gemstone.

Locations where non-gemstone quality stone occurs includes Norway, Finland, Greenland, Scotland, Germany, Spain, Bulgaria, Austria, Tanzania Africa, India, Japan, Antarctica, Tasmania Australia, Canada, Brazil and in a number of places in the United States.

It may be found in the same places as a number of other minerals shown below. This includes Forsterite, Dolomite, Calcite, Wollastonite, Talc, Grossular Garnet, Vesuvianite and a number of lesser known minerals such as Ludwigite.

Best Crystals To Use With Clinohumite

What are the best crystals to combine with Clinohumite? These are excellent stones for stress relief, but if you would like to increase the energy to assist you to feel calmer, use them with some of the stones that contain lithium.

Lepidolite, Holmquistite, Amblygonite or Lithium Quartz all contain lithium which is very helpful to assist stress depression and anxiety.

These are lovely stones to stimulate feelings of joy and happiness, and may be combined with other crystals for happiness that bring through these lovely positive emotions.

Other happiness stones include the delightful green Peridot, Sillimanite, Ocean Jasper or Smokey Quartz.

These are useful stones for pain relief, but for greater relief you may wish to use them with other crystals that assist pain.

Specific stones that may be useful for this purpose includes Black Tourmaline, Lilac Lepidolite, Amber, Emeralds, Kammererite or Fuchsite.

If you are suffering from pain that is related to a broken bone, there are a number of stones that are helpful to assist the body to heal broken bones.

Some specific stones that could be helpful includes Tigers Eye, Gyrolite, Brucite, Hackmanite, Amblygonite, Axinite, Dolomite, Faden Quartz, Malachite or Blue Lace Agate.

If you are having trouble sleeping, and suffer from ongoing insomnia, night after night, there are quite a few stones that you can use to assist you to sleep better.

Scolecite is one of my favorites as it has such a calming action, but other stones that can be also be used includes Howlite, Stilbite, Chrysocolla or Cookeite.
