Color Changing Ocean Jasper

I’ve heard a lot about the color of crystals changing mainly due to fading from over exposure to sunlight. But I have an ocean jasper pendant that I’ve had for about 4 years now. It started off blue green and white when I first got it, but over the years the majority of the white slowly turned yellow to golden brown.

It’s currently settled on a creamy golden color the change was so sudden and surprising I couldn’t believe it. I’ve asked other people who are more advanced with crystals and crystal healing but I have yet to get a clear answer as to why it happened.
